Mainly self taught, working as a professional artist for ten years, clients have described Linda’s work as being influenced by the French Impressionists. She is certainly inspired by French architecture and light. As well as around her home & studio in North Norfolk.
Travelling widely to undertake commissions for commercial and private clients, Linda will also work on exclusive site-specific designs for brochures, greeting, postcards and notebooks. Unique Christmas Card Designs are a speciality. Linda’s work is for sale in galleries around Britain, along with her cards, prints and notebooks “Le Boulevard” Hotel in Marseillan, Languedoc, France now has a permanent exhibition.
Linda takes structured art courses in drawing, watercolour & Oils, in the U.K. and France. She will also tailor make courses and workshops for individuals and groups in Norfolk or will travel to your venue. Her teaching is based on building confidence and having fun, as well as passing on her knowledge of the technical side of drawing, painting and materials. Linda demonstrated her painting and teaching skills for Visit -Norfolk at Art Materials Live at The NEC Birmingham in November 2006, and is taking a stand to promote her own courses this year.
Linda’s “Teach Your Staff to Relax & Increase their Observational Skills through Watercolour” is an excellent “away day” for corporate groups. Her Latest television appearance was painting Cromer Pier in Oils on a cold November Day for Anglia T.V. for “Coastal Inspirations”
Linda has recently been asked to undertake a series of lectures to other professional Artists, regarding planning, promoting and conducting art courses, for Norfolk Arts Partnership.
Linda is an associate of the Association of Illustrators, a Professional Associate of the Society of all Artists, a gold professional of the Society of All Artists She is also a member of Women in Rural Enterprise, Federation of Small Businesses. and the Broads Tourism Business Forum. Linda was co ordinator for North norfolk artists participating in Norfolk Open studios for four years handing over the baton for 2007
Linda’s hobbies include swimming, playing the flute, gardening, walking, cooking & eating good food and reading. In the past she has been a proficient skier and attained her open water scuba-diving certificate.
Linda describes herself as creative, reliable, efficient, organized, sympathetic, a good analyst of people and situations. She is willing to take responsibility for her decisions, she has a very keen sense of humour, is extremely self motivated and an excellent motivator of others.
