You will find a working Studio and a Gallery to browse around in this beautiful part of the Norfolk Broads.
And of course always a warm welcome.
I had a famous visitor to the Studio Yesterday, 19 June. John Noakes and his wife. He said they saw the studio sign and screeched to a halt to have a look.
They were charming, we had discussion about their visit to the RA Summer Exhibition. He said he will submit some of his paintings next year. He paints trees with a knife.
He also said as a young actor he had been in rep. at Cromer, not on the pier, in a hall. I think, from his description, it must have been in the Parish Rooms. He also knew Robert Marlow for whom NNDC commissioned me to paint Cromer Pier.
It was a little disconcerting to think that, I had a poster on my wall when I was younger, of Auntie Val, Peter Purves and John Noakes, from Diana magazine, and I now know he is older than my dad.
It was lovely to meet both John and his wife & I hope they had an enjoyable visit to Norfolk.

Those of you who know me know I am a lover of working with oils, and don’t like acrylics much. But these Interactive ones are so different. Those of you who went to Art Materials Live may have seen them there, that is where my curiosity was primed.
Well if you want to have a go I have added a further course to this years programme: 3-7 November 2008 purely for learning about Atelier Interactive Acrylics You can rehydrate them with water, and use the unique unlocking formula to rework layers after a few days. I admit I was sceptical and prepared to walk away not impressed... but I was and I have been playing with them in the studio this week and really like working with them. This 4 day course is £359.00 including at least £100 worth of materials to take away with you Only 6 places as with all my courses.
